Why we built this
Software shaped by real OPD mornings, not hospital boardrooms
MakeMyClinik started from watching outpatient clinics struggle with the same operational problems every day — crowded doorways, paper tokens that fail under rush, and patient history that does not survive the next visit.
The problem we kept seeing
Outpatient clinics in India run on walk-ins, short consultations, and a front desk that holds the room together. When the morning rush hits, paper slips get lost, patients crowd the doctor’s door, and staff spend more time managing the line than registering patients.
Doctors re-ask allergies and medications because last visit’s notes live in a folder, a WhatsApp photo, or not at all. Multi-doctor OPD adds another layer — separate queues, shared patients, one reception trying to coordinate without a single screen everyone trusts.
What we chose not to build
We did not set out to sell generic healthcare SaaS, hospital ERP modules, or vague “AI transformation” for clinics. Enterprise inpatient systems assume wards, billing codes, and insurance desks — that is not how a neighborhood OPD actually runs.
MakeMyClinik is narrower on purpose: register the patient, run the token line fairly, record the consultation, and keep history on a timeline for the next visit — in one workspace the front desk and doctors share.
Operational philosophy
Good clinic software should mirror how staff already think about their day — tokens, step-outs, call next, file the visit — not force a new vocabulary from a product brochure.
We design for front-desk authority over the queue, visible fairness for walk-ins, and consultation continuity that doctors feel on the second visit, not on a slide deck.
- Queue workflow first — not bolted on after a billing module
- One patient record from registration through timeline
- Roles that match clinic reality: admin, doctor, front desk
- Browser-based — no app store gate for staff or patients
India outpatient context
Most of our early clinics are solo or multi-doctor OPD practices — family medicine, pediatrics, dental, dermatology, and specialty rooms with daily walk-ins. They need software that respects rush hours, step-outs for labs, and patients who may not use smartphones for every visit.
We onboard each clinic on its own subdomain so staff bookmark one URL and patients see only their clinic’s data — operational separation, not marketing segmentation.
How we work with clinics today
Onboarding is hands-on: we confirm fit, set up your clinic workspace, and create the first admin — usually within an hour. Early feedback shapes the product — token on-hold, multi-doctor lines, and patient portal access all came from desk-side requests, not roadmap theatre.
If you run an outpatient clinic and want calmer waiting rooms with connected OPD workflow, reach out from the homepage pricing section — tell us your city, specialty, and how many doctors share the front desk.
